A few days ago my husband and I noticed tent structures sprouting up along the main road. Yeah pasar malam!
We always look forward to strolling through one because it's a good place for small household objects, cheap stickers and stationery for his students, and of course, 'rubbish' food! This was our loot for dinner last night:

Tuk tuk kuey, curry pok, tapioca cake, fried bee hoon-kuey teow, ramly burger, mayo youtiao, cheese sausage, muah chee and steamed peanuts! Yum yum!!!
But unfortunately most of the food weren't good. I suspect it's because last night was their final night, and the food might not have been fresh. The noodles and youtiao were too spicy for our palate
(vendor added chilli without checking with us) while the muah chee and peanuts were tough and inedible. So disappointing.
Then again, it's probably my own fault for expecting too much from street-side stalls ;)
