5 minutes ago a colleague (picture a plump, jolly-looking uncle) from the other floor came to see us. He collates procurement documents from the system and passes it to us.
Coming by my cubicle, he said he heard that I am leaving, and asked why. With a cheeky grin I asked him to guess why. The colleague sitting opposite me excitedly raised her arms and said "Me too! Me too!"
Uncle went "Huh???!!"
Then shook his head.
He passed a stack of documents to a newbie colleague and started to leave. Newbie looked at the documents and exclaimed that it's not her name.
"Hey! I'm not Evelyn!"
"Huh? Then where is she?"
"Quit already."
"HUH??!!!"
Hahahaa... joke of the day. Says a lot doesn't it, of the staff turnover here.
